Upcoming Public Meetings of Interest

With COVID-19, many city processes have gone to an online format. Eastmorland neighbors might be interested in several upcoming meetings and opportunities for municipal feedback. Links are included below:
 
1) September 14: Plan Commission will meet about new proposed mixed use development on Cottage Grove and Monona Drive (site of old Ace Hardware, Jade Monkey, etc). The item is: a Demolition permit requested and request for rezoning from CC-T to Neighborhood Mixed Use:  109-209 Cottage Grove Road and 3900 Monona Drive to demolish and rezone the above 3 commercial bldgs. and construct a 4 story mixed use bldg. with 2,500 sq. ft. of commercial space and 78 apartments and a 4-story apt. bldg. with 110 units.

2) September 26: The survey about the East Side Dog Park closes. People can visit this site to fill out the survey, look at a presentation from the City on dog park criteria, and review letters of opposition from adjacent neighbors.

3) October 14: Madison Metro will hold a townhall about COVID impacts to service. Neighborhood routes including the 38 and the 3 were not brought back in August as part of the general ‘return to service’ and neighbors might be interested in learning more about the impacts to these routes for the rest of 2020.
