Due to the early onset of heavy snow, the Eastmorland Community Association (ECA) is cancelling its Leaf Raking Party that had been scheduled for Saturday, November 9. The annual event is designed to provide raking assistance for neighbors who are physically unable to rake their leaves due to health reasons.
We still need your help, though, because we have several neighbors who will need volunteers to rake their yards when the snow thaws. Hopefully that will happen yet this fall, or even next spring if the snow persists.
If you would be willing to rake one or more yards after the snow melts, please contact Kris Whitman at kwhitman@uwalumni.com or (608) 228-6654, or Kathy Soukup, ECA president, at 244-8965. They will match you with a specific house in your area to assist.
